Our goods come with guarantees what cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or a refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the good repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
In addition to the above and other rights and remedies available under law, we offer a lifetime warranty on all our workmanship for glass installations. This is explained below.
Should the product installed be found to have a manufacturing defect undetected at the time of installation, it will be replaced – free.

Process for a claim:
If you have a claim of any kind, you must contact us as soon as you become aware of it and we will arrange for an inspection or simply organise to fix your damaged glass, either at one of our O’Brien® branches or by getting one of our mobile technicians to come to a place of your choice – at home, at work, or wherever you are.
Conditions of Warranty:
Warranty will be honoured upon presentation of the tax invoice/receipt or other reasonable proof of purchase or supply by us.
Windscreen Chip Repairs:
A windscreen chip repair is designed to avoid a chip turning into a crack but usually leaves a blemish which will not interfere with the driver’s vision. In some cases, the attempt to repair a windscreen can make the chip bigger due to small micro cracks emanating from the initial impact, through no fault of the technician. In this rare case, we will credit the cost of the chip repair towards a new windscreen from O’Brien®. If you find a successful windscreen chip repair to be visually unsatisfactory, we will replace the windscreen and deduct the cost of the chip repair from the cost of the replacement windscreen from O’Brien®.
Causes beyond our control:
Our warranty does not cover faults beyond our control, including, but not limited to faults caused by impact damage, driving the vehicle before the recommended safe drive away time (as advised by us) has expired, pre-existing rust or corrosion in the vehicle body, deterioration of a rubber gasket which at the customer’s request has been reused and has, therefore, not been replaced, misuse of vehicle, owner negligence, environmentally induced deterioration or existing vehicle faults.
